PLS's Japanese Courses
Our school provides the development of Japanese language abilities such as Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing, for the people who are eager to study Japanese academically.
Based on daily conversation, mastering basic vocabulary, correct pronunciation, conjugating basic verbs, mastering and practising basic sentence patterns, and practising the four major skill areas: speaking, listening, writing and reading.
Students with a basic knowledge of Japanese writing, vocabulary and grammar will study higher level expressions, vocabulary, and idioms, as well as mastering the ability to understand these expressions. Students will aim for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 2 (by The Japan Foundation)
This course raises the students' level of Japanese language skill, so that the students can understanding topics at a higher level of Japanese (e.g. social problems, current problems, novels, etc.), and prepare for additional work and study in specialised fields utilising Japanese. Students will aim at The Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 1 (by The Japan Foundation).
On successful completion of PLS's Japanese courses, you may gain entry to a range of colleges and universities in Japan using our Further Study Pathways, without the need for an additional Japanese test (level 3). To use the Further Study Pathways, you must satisfy the academic entry requirements for your chosen course.
